Bonus Art Print for "The Little Mermaid & The Pirate Queen #1" Backers
As you may have heard, we just launched a new issue of our very first EverAfterVerse title: "The Beast & Snow #1-3" (a Vampire/Werewolf Sapphic Romance comic taking place in the same universe as "The Little Mermaid & The Pirate Queen").
And we want to reward "The Little Mermaid & The Pirate Queen #1" backers who return to support our next book with a FREE EXCLUSIVE ART PRINT featuring characters from both series!
This art print by Dominic Bustamante (who was the artist for Cover C of "Little Mermaid") will go out FOR FREE to any "The Little Mermaid & The Pirate Queen" backers who also support "The Beast & Snow #1-3"!
We took inspiration from "John Wick" and "James Bond" for this art print -- action movies where the "big showdown" with the suited villain always has a random shark tank in the middle of the room.
We thought it would be super fun to put Aria/the Little Mermaid in the tank as Vampire Snow White and Werewolf Belle face down the Evil Queen!
All you have to do to qualify for the free print is back "The Beast & Snow #1-3" using the same Kickstarter Account you used for "The Little Mermaid & The Pirate Queen #1". We'll handle the rest! Whether you back the new project Physically or Digitally determines whether you get a physical or digital copy of the art print.
Physical returning backers (backers getting some rewards shipped to them for "The Beast & Snow #1-3") will get a Physical + Hi-Res Digital copy of the art (regardless of whether you supported "The Little Mermaid & The Pirate Queen #1" Physically or Digitally).

We're continuing to push forward!
It's only been a few days since our last Update, but let us share a new WIP from the comic!
We're continuing to push forward with the interiors, sitting at about 50% complete on Pencils. As of right now, everything is still proceeding on-track with our planned schedule in our last Update.
Every new page we get makes us even more excited to share this comic with you!
Errored Pledges
Please note that if your pledge is marked Errored by Kickstarter, you have until Thursday, 2/27 to fix the error.
Most often, an Errored pledge just means your payment method failed and needs to be Updated. You can do this by clicking the big red banner at the top of the Kickstarter page (when you're logged into your account).
We'll also be shooting a Kickstarter DM to currently-errored pledges to notify you of your current status.
Imagine a world where the apocalypse happened back in 1840 and opened up the doors to all sorts of monsters, curses and demons. One day the world just dried up and whatever little water that was left, being now the most precious resource on the planet, started to be used as currency.
Decades have gone by and mankind barely lingered on. There's good water to be made hunting down the wicked and Curse Chasers are always eager to help those in need (for the right flask of water of course). The Redhead is a hardened survivor and a Curse Chaser in this alternate Old West reality.

With this campaign coming to a close in less than a week, it's time to announce our final Stretch/Backer Goals.

We'll talk about all about the creation of the series, dissect the plot/characters, and reveal some behind-the-scenes secrets!
As we hit certain Backer Milestones, we'll add even more Indie Comics to the digital bundle all backers receive for supporting this campaign. We've already added three comics via Backer Goals, so let's announce our final goal!

Safe vs. Spicy Edition Indicator
We've gotten feedback from a handful of backers that our original indicator of "Safe" vs. "Spicy" Edition comic on the comic covers wasn't working for them. These backers (correctly) pointed out that the big black bar at the top of the cover was an eyesore and took away from the beautiful cover art.
We always appreciate backer feedback, so we've made the following changes!
For covers that do not feature nudity in the cover art, we've implemented a more subtle "Spicy Edition" indicator above the creator credits.
NEW Spicy Indicator for Covers that do not feature nudity
This compared to the previously more obvious/obstructive indicator shown below.
OLD Spicy indicator, no longer in use
Additionally, we previously included the "Spicy Edition" black bar on all Spicy Edition covers. But thanks to backer suggestion, we've decided to not include the icon at all for covers that feature nudity. We believe that nudity on the cover art will be a clear enough indicator by itself that you're looking at the Spicy Edition of the comic.
Covers featuring Nudity are ONLY available for Spicy Edition, so we don't need an additional indicator on them
This is in the interest of covering as little of the cover art as necessary to let all the beautiful art show for itself. For reference, the OLD version below.

Note: we may also opt to use a different Back Cover to the comic (i.e. Red for Spicy, another color for Safe) when we get a little closer to completing the comic. That will hopefully make keeping the Editions distinct even easier without cluttering the cover art. But we'll make that determination at a later point.
